Launch Day!

"First days" can be quite rocky and daunting experience… no matter what the occasion is… my first day in the open air after 9 cosy months indoors was not exempt from a few bumps as well!

The previous day Mamma was called into hospital to get herself prepared for launch.

…the tension was rising by the hour and I got the impression Mamma just wasn't willing to hold on to me much longer.. I knew it was soon time to show up...

Getting a little painful for Mummy...

...thankfully the Anaesthetist was round the corner and popped in some soothing fluids.. hey!  Watch out with that big needle, you better stay well away from me… I'm still inside!!!

Meamwhile Daddy turned up to make aleviate any tension and ensure things would go as smooth as possible...

…and then after a huff…. and a puff…

….there was me in the open air!!  Still sorting out how oxygen works so clearly this was not the time for smiles!!

They put a hat on my head and wrapped me up in warm clothes to get the temperature up… I was freezing!!  Look how white I was!!

As soon as I established a reasonable temperature I felt tremendously better and was ready for my first drink.. straight from the tap!  Get used to it Mummy!!

After my feed I got my first pats on the back, my first burp followed..

Time for bonding a little with Mamma…

… and then off for a nap before my brother and grandparents pop round to visit!!

Sleeping tight!  Holding on to Dadda's finger!
